The following is a list of coursework for the Certificate for Public Health Preparedness & Response Competencies Program.

Clicking on the links below will directly link you to the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Emergency Management Institute (EMI) or other university. You will be required to complete another registration form.

Please follow the instructions on their website for registration and taking the courses.

Note: Each FEMA course contains several modules. You must complete one module before continuing to the next. However, you may leave the site between modules and return and a later date to complete the next module.

System Requirements for the FEMA EMI Learning Center Site: The FEMA EMI Learning Center system currently only supports MS Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. It also currently only supports MS Windows operating system.

IS 100 – Introduction to the Incident Command System :: Course description :: Take the course	Online through FEMA. Required for all employees
ICS/SEMS/NIMS Combined Course :: Course Information :: Sign up for upcoming courses online :: Download the flyer	In person presentation by BTPR staff. Fulfills requirement for SEMS, IS 100 and IS 700 courses. 8-hour interactive training. IS 200 – ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents :: Course description :: Take the course	Online through FEMA Appropriate for Intermediate Level and above.
IS-300 & IS- 400	IS-300 & IS-400 are management level courses that are required in Fiscal Year 07. Required for CHA Advanced Level employees Check Workshops & Trainings for upcoming courses.
IS 700 – NIMS – National Incident Management System :: Login on FEMA Site :: Register with FEMA	Online through FEMA Required for all employees.
IS 800 – NRP - National Response Plan :: Login on FEMA Site :: Register with FEMA	Online through FEMA Appropriate for Advanced Levels
