Welcome
to the Riverside County Department
of Public Health, Certificate
for Public Health Preparedness & Response
Competencies Program. You
are taking the first step in
preparing yourself and your
county in the event of a disaster.
This
certificate program is designed
to prepare public health workers,
first responders, healthcare
professionals and community
volunteers for the kinds of
work and roles they will perform
in the event of a major local
emergency.
The
program is tiered to ensure
basic competencies and knowledge
in the areas of disaster response
and coordination. The
basic, intermediate and advanced
levels build on the foundation
of the Standardized Emergency
Management System (SEMS), the
National Incident Management
System (NIMS) and the Incident
Command System (ICS). The
levels provide for specialized
training for health professionals
and management.
To
begin the certification program,
follow the steps below beginning
with the Registration
Form.
